Maryada Ramanna! Utterly a telugu movie!

First and fore most I’d like to say this… read this after watching the movie, as I’d like readers also to have a set of rules when they read. Uhh decks cleared for me to write a very 1^st review in my blog that too for a telugu movie!!

Just finished watching ‘MARYADA RAMANNA’. I can feel the presence of sunil, rajamouli and his team even after coming out from the theatre. Proudly that’s a maverick flick. As I’m not a regular guy who reviews any movies...It’s just an attempt to see myself that can I do this.

We’ll let me say how the story was, as I fixed in mind that I shouldn’t have any expectations, took the ticket with an open mind and entered theatre! Story is as simple “Paatha kakshalu”, we’ll I mean to say that old rivalry in true translation!! Two kill themselves in a flashing fight with some back ground that fades (suggestive violence). Nagineedu’s brother and his counterpart being his nephew. Story goes onto 28 years forward!

Ramu goes with his acrobatic stunts (I wish y can’t our guys go for Olympics?) and does his daily duty, travelling bags of rice from mill to dealers shop. Ravi teja giving his voice over to his cycle gave a refreshment and set a mood of joyfulness, well he couldn’t make it in time n wishes to go for an auto. Chalo a song starts and u can see cars lorries banging onto one another… it’s really a great opening for a hero like sunil!!

There comes a letter which says that they’ve to claim their land in Tadipatri. Ramu wants to claim that and how he achieves forms the rest of the story, as there is a huge gang waiting for this guy.

Firstly the things that I liked:

The intro part of sunil was good and refreshing and added a li’l bit tempo.

The back ground song that goes with the movie… “kotalosthayi kollanu bali is the,medalu vasthayi mekalanu bali isthe”.

The dialog when sunil pleads with Nagineedu that he has come for the land and not for the rivalry… “Thallidandrula aasthulu panchukunnappudu,valla kakshalu enduku panchukokudadu??”

The huge bungalow which actually makes us feel.

Kudos to art director, as I’ve read somewhere that he made a lorry work like train! AWESOME!!

The things that I didn’t like:

Voice over could have been much more n not restricted to few scenes. I’d like to say this rather than having a voice over,dir. Could havecancelled it.

The climax part was dull, as the bridge scene looks like aah chalo yaar..again a routine ending

The screen-play was completely out n out expectable.

Over all what I can say is watch this movie if you are free. One thing I’d like to admit, our movies are like a time pass. When one can come out of the commercial paradigm, they can make the best movies. Any way another hit for Rajamouli!

A brave suicide

There was a brave kid, who was a bit adamant and naughty. He never used to come first in his class, yet he used to top his GK competitions and participate in Olympiad and felt satisfied. Nevertheless hailing from a middle class family his aims were sky high and felt very much fascinated with movies.

Until now the story seems the same as the routine, Hail the story tellers of previous time as they made this look nasty and routine. This is pretty another attempt from a failure to try what all can I do to reverse the story.

Life moved with pace , he placed himself into high school and things kept changing. The world around him seemed too familiar yet he felt deserted. The value of money and human beings came to existence and wanted to attain an equilibrium!! Then came friends and mates of his own class. He came to know that when he utters some answers in his class, people around him kept laughing and booing. He left the place with sorrow.

The guy moved to an under graduate program, with a pocket full of money he came to balance life. His first failure came just as a thunder storm… he had a million things rotating in his mind on seeing his results. He kept thinking that what might be the cause of this?

He took out his phobia and cleared them in the consecutive attempts. Yet another failure in next year, this time it was a huge an irreparable damage. People keep flaunting at him and that stroked with much force. Once all of a sudden he tried to end his life.

There is another character over here that I haven't introduced yet, it's his bravery. He made a successful attempt to save a woman and her three children from drowning . It was huge rain that almost made the whole city go down in water. The mayor's place, market street and the long road was completely filled with water all over. This boy went deep into the well that sucked many ones. From the help of a rope that was tied over, helped them.
